Martin Peterson is a Canadian author of action, science fiction, and fantasy. He writes children's books as Martin D. Peterson and is the co-creator of the Death Before Dishonor universe, and is the original creator of Slasher and Brigade within that world. A student at Trent University and a former retail manager, Martin is also a comic collector, a Colorado Avalanche fan, and a behind-the-scenes manager at Electric City Publishers. He is a husband to Ojibwe author, Alison Peterson, and is a father of three boys.
